Ultra Fast Purification
of Extracellular Vesicles
Rapid, portable, selective immunoaffinity-based EV isolation in <10 minutes
Comparison of Our Device (PMED) with Other Purification Techniques for Extracellular Vesicles in Cell Culture Media
Our Technology
Our portable microstructured electrochemical device (PMED),
delivers high yield, purity, and marker-specific EV sub-population sorting from biofluids in
<10 minutes. EV isolation without ultracentrifugation or bulky equipment.
We demonstrate the purification of extracellular vesicles (EVs) from raw plasma in under 10 minutes, followed by dynamic light scattering analysis using the DynaPro NanoStar (Waters | Wyatt Technology). Our device achieves purification such that 98% of the scattered light is attributable to EVs. (Check Complete Workflow)

What our clients say
As part of our recent study, we used the PMED device from Acytronix to purify CD9-positive extracellular vesicles (EVs) from plasma samples, and the results exceeded our expectations.
Anna Chamot
PhD candidate, ETH ZurichWe recently collaborated with Acytronix and utilized their PMED (Portable Microstructured Electrochemical Device) in our research. The device’s ability to isolate EVs from complex biological fluids, including plasma and cell culture medium, with exceptional purity in under 10 minutes is truly impressive.
Dr. Anat Aharon
PhD Director of the Hematology Research LaboratoryWe recently used the PMED device in our study to isolate milk CD81-EVs, and the results were impressive. The device not only offers exceptional portability and precision but also purifies EVs in under 10 minutes, saving us significant time compared to traditional ultracentrifugation methods.
Dr. Mara Saenz de Juano
Lecturer at the Department of Environmental Systems ScienceWe recently started a collaboration with Acytronix, and the communication and support have been outstanding. The device is highly effective for the isolation of EVs, as it significantly saves time and effort. We anticipate valuable results from our upcoming proteomics analyses.
Lisa Gugler
PhD Candidate at Tissue Biology Research UnitVery good technology. This will definitely advance EVs research.
Adrian Perez Barreto
PHD StudentI recently had a collaboration with Acytronix and we did preliminary experiments by isolating EVs from serum. It is definitely a quick and easy method of isolation, especially for a clinical setting. We also performed validation experiments and it gave good results. I would recommend Acytronix's PMED device.
